Insurance on my house and vehicles are offered at a fair rate. Fortunately, I have had only one claim over the past several years and it was handled very quickly and to my satisfaction. I happily recommend State Farm and Ben Meyer..

My rental property had hail damage from a storm in 2023. SF sent an adjuster who said only half the roof, gutters, and soft metals were covered. We hired a company, they did the repairs, and that was the end of that. Then, unfortunately, a tornado came through the area 6/2025 and caused damage again. With no help from Ben, he sent me with a 1-800 number to navigate the claims process myself. The SF agent asked me if I wanted to file a wind or hail claim, I wasn't sure so I asked them which one I should do as they're supposed to be the experts, and they errantly told me since it was a tornado to file a wind claim. An adjuster came out and said there was no wind damage but there was hail damage so I would have to file a hail claim. Called SF, the next man I spoke to opened a new hail claim. He explained you can have wind with hail but not hail with a wind claim, then he proceeded to tell me I could not date the claim for 6/2025 because AccuWeather said there was no hail in the area on that date. I told him it was a tornado and that there definitely was hail as you could go on YouTube and pull up 20+ videos of locals videotaping the tornados/hail. He still said nope, AccuWeather said there was no hail and that I would have to date the loss 4/2025. Sick of arguing with him, I gave up and just told him to put whatever date he wanted, I just wanted the damages fixed! (Side note, a few weeks later I learned both of my tenants had hail damage on their vehicles which also proved that there was hail on 6/2025 like I said.) A different adjuster came out, but this one said there was no hail damage even though the first wind adjuster said there was. I also had several companies come out who said there was definitely damage to the roof, siding, window trim, doors, everywhere and I have many photos of that damage, but SF is claiming it's normal wear and tear. During this inspection, I also learned that the soft metals on the roof were not replaced from the previous storm. I went back to the company we hired from the 2023 storm and told them about this, and I'm still working on getting them to come back to finish. However, SF said other than the soft metals, there were no other damages. They had me jump through all these hoops, appealing and sending pics, and almost immediately after I sent them pics that they asked for they said that was not hail damage but wear and tear and granular loss. I'm going to attach 2 pics, one was the hail damage that was covered from the 2023 storm and one was from the 2025 storm and apparently not hail damage. Tell me what the difference is? So, now, I have damages SF refuses to cover, 2 claims that will be on my record for years because they refuse to remove the wind claim which they told me to file when it should have been a hail claim. Needless to say, I have taken my business elsewhere, to a reputable, long-standing company who is saving me nearly a grand in premiums for everything I had insured with SF. Ben has no problem finding you a policy and billing you, but when it comes time to make a claim, you're on your own. He also said roofing companies many times will tell you to file claims even if the damage isn't that bad because they just want to get paid. I find that funny because we just had a storm at my primary residence a month ago which produced hail, and of the 4 companies that took a look at our home, only 1 said there was some damage but they weren't sure if it was bad enough for insurance to cover, the other 3 said it was more cosmetic which seems like pretty honest assessments to me. Do yourself a favor and find yourself an agent who will do more than take your premiums, if he had taken the lead like he should have, maybe I wouldn't have 2 claims for 1 storm in my history for years to come.
