FAQ

Common questions

Why do Google Business Profiles get suspended?

Most suspensions trace to a handful of triggers: names that don't match the real-world brand, address problems (PO Boxes, virtual offices, storefront/service-area conflicts), duplicate listings, and category-website mismatches. Google's filters run automatically, so a profile that's been fine for years can trip one after a small edit.

Is keyword-stuffing my business name really that risky?

Yes — it's the single most common suspension trigger. “Smith Plumbing” is fine; “Smith Plumbing | Best 24/7 Emergency Plumber Alton” is a suspension waiting to happen. The name on your profile must match your actual brand, and competitors happily report violators.

What if my profile is already suspended?

Then this report is your appeal checklist — Google won't reinstate a profile that still violates the guidelines. Fix every red item first, then appeal once. Repeated failed appeals make reinstatement harder.

How accurate is this scan?

It checks the documented, publicly-known triggers against your live profile data. It can't see Google's internal signals (edit history, reports filed against you), so treat a clean scan as necessary-but-not-sufficient — and a flagged scan as urgent.

A suspension costs weeks of calls. Prevention is cheaper.

Locafy keeps profiles compliant and ranking — name format, categories, citations, and content managed so you never see the suspension email.
